Blow Birthday Candle: Live Cam Android Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

Blow Birthday Candle: Live Cam for Android is provided by Eagle Reach Enterprises Limited. This policy covers the Android app, local birthday reminders/widgets, optional camera/AR and Google Play purchases. It does not describe the separate iPhone version.

Microphone and explicit birthday recordings

Ordinary blowing detection processes microphone sound in memory on your Android device. It does not save or upload that audio. Listening stops when the candle is extinguished, the moment closes, the app leaves the foreground or capture is interrupted. The tap control works without microphone permission.

When you explicitly choose Record video, the app records the camera scene and microphone sound into a temporary local clip, for up to 10 seconds. This can include voices and surrounding sounds. The clip leaves private app storage only when you choose Save or Share. Eagle Reach does not receive its audio or video.

Optional camera, AR and birthday hats

Camera permission is needed for live Camera or AR views and camera capture. You can use ordinary candles with a plain or scenic background without camera permission. Selecting another background, closing the camera experience or backgrounding the app stops the relevant capture session. Photos and videos may contain people, pets and surroundings visible in the camera.

AR places the selected candle and cake artwork in the scene on supported devices. Google Play Services for AR (ARCore) is required for AR. This app does not use Cloud Anchors or the Geospatial API, request location permission or send AR world maps to Eagle Reach.

People’s hats use bundled Google ML Kit face detection on the device. Pets and dolls use manual hat placement. Camera images and detection results are not sent to Eagle Reach or Google by that detector. Temporary landmarks and tracking identifiers position hats, are cleared with tracking, and are not used to identify people.

Google AR and ML Kit technical data

Google Play Services for AR can collect Google account identifiers when signed in, device identifiers when signed out, diagnostics and AR API activity. ML Kit collects app/device details, per-installation identifiers, performance metrics and technical feature-event information. Google uses these records for diagnostics, usage analytics and service operation and improvement. This SDK activity is separate from Eagle Reach receiving your camera images or birthday records.

ML Kit transmits its described metrics over HTTPS. ARCore describes HTTPS protection for collected data on devices originally shipped with Google Play. Google controls its own records, retention and privacy practices. The app has no advertising or developer-operated analytics service.

Birthdays, selected photos, reminders and widgets

Saved birthdays contain the name, birthday date, optional birth year and selected photo, and reminder settings you enter. They are stored in this app’s private Android preferences. There is no developer birthday server or cloud synchronization service. The system image picker provides only the image you choose; the app creates a bounded JPEG copy without retaining the original picker URI or its metadata. It does not request broad photo-library or contacts access.

The app’s countdown and reminder widgets read the same local birthday records. Widgets may show names, dates, countdowns and photos on the Home Screen. Reminder notifications may show names; people who can see your screen or notifications can see that information. Notification permission is optional. Scheduling uses Android’s local alarm and notification services, and delivery depends on notification, battery and background settings.

You can edit or delete birthdays and disable reminders in the app, remove widgets, or change notification permission in Android Settings. Deleting a birthday removes that entry’s stored details/photo and pending reminder. Sharing a countdown image includes its displayed birthday information and selected photo. Candle gifts do not automatically attach saved birthday photos.

Saving and sharing photos, videos and cards

Save and Share are explicit actions. On Android 10 and later, saving adds media through Android’s media storage. On Android 8–9, you choose a destination using the system document picker. Sharing uses Android’s chooser and a temporary read grant for the selected file; the recipient app’s terms and privacy practices apply.

Send to Friend exports a designed card image with its greeting and an explanatory invitation. More options offers a text-only message/app link or a portable candle file. Gifts can contain scene selections and a message, but no purchase entitlement, audio recording or automatic camera capture. Gift links/files are not encrypted; anyone receiving or forwarding them can read their contents.

App invitation links contain campaign/referral parameters so the app stores can attribute visits or installs to the sharing campaign. There is no developer referral server or unique sender identifier in this campaign link. Opening a store link is subject to that store’s privacy practices.

Temporary share media and recordings use private cache storage. Android can clear caches, and the app removes older temporary files during later use of the relevant sharing/recording feature; recordings older than 24 hours are cleared when recording starts again. Copies saved or sent elsewhere remain until you delete them at that destination. Clearing app storage or uninstalling does not remove recipient or gallery copies.

Google Play purchases and private access

Google Play handles payment with your Google Account. The app receives signed purchase evidence such as product, purchase token/time/status, acknowledgement and order information when available. It uses this to verify, acknowledge, unlock and restore Premium through Google Play. It does not receive your payment-card details or Google password, and sends no purchase evidence to an Eagle Reach app server.

Verified Lifetime evidence is stored locally for offline access. Monthly entitlement is checked periodically online and held in memory rather than saved as an offline entitlement. Google independently processes its account, transaction and technical records; Eagle Reach can access order/support information made available in Play Console to help with purchase issues.

An app-specific private access code can activate Diamond features locally for review without creating Play ownership. Activation is stored separately from purchases; the raw code is not persisted or sent to a developer server. Deactivate it under Premium → More options → Access code. Normal purchases remain separate.

Local security, retention and deletion

Candle choices, appearance, language, sensitivity and welcome preferences remain locally in private app storage, together with saved birthdays, review activation and eligible purchase evidence. App-owned private data is excluded from Android backup and device-transfer rules. App configuration disallows cleartext traffic and public links use HTTPS. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Local data remains until you delete it through the app where supported, clear app storage in Android Settings or uninstall. A Play ownership check can remove cached purchase evidence when ownership is no longer valid. Use the purchasing Google Account to restore eligible purchases after reinstalling or changing devices.

Deleting local data does not delete Google’s records, refund purchases or cancel subscriptions. Manage Monthly in Google Play subscriptions. There is no separate app account to delete; requests about Google-held AR, ML Kit, account or purchase records may need to be directed to Google.
